New Year, New Blog

So, I used to have a blog, But, after a few days of thinking about how I sucked at maintaining it, I decided to delete it and start over. Whether or not that was a wise decision, well, I guess I’ll see.

Anyways, what to expect from this blog?

I figured the best way to do this is to keep a goal in mind. A new year’s resolution, but with blogging. That’s not too weird, and it makes sense for me as a person.

I have about three goals for this blog, but they coincide in one aspect: More blogging.

I want to blog about everything–my new gluten free diet, my journey to becoming a published writer, getting my dream job somehow, books, the publishing industry, etc. Things that I thought were too boring to blog about in my last blog that made it totally suck.

I came to the conclusion that I am an over-thinker. I overthink my writing (I’m a bit of a perfectionist like that), and that keeps me from getting anything done. And if I don’t get anything done, then what kind of loser am I? I’m not going to accomplish anything by constantly thinking about it. I need to stop thinking and actually start writing. Take on a sort of, “Ah, eff it.” attitude and just go with it.

SO. New year, new blog, a fresh start and a determination to just write. I will get at least one post up a week. That’s a numerical goal I can work with since I did it for a class blog last semester and got a good grade on it (not an A, but it wasn’t an F either).
