I’ve scoured the internet for ways to make a blog awesome, and so far the best advice I had read was to come up with weekly blog posts. Something along the lines of like, “Monday Moods” where someone would complain about Mondays, or “Recap Friday” where they summarize the week with news headlines or personal stuff. I find that to be a good idea and have been brainstorming around it, trying to work out my own catchy weekly blog posts.
The problem is I haven’t been able to write them down due to my busy week. I mean, I’m in the middle of a move, I just went to a funeral which are never fun, I’ve been shopping for the new place, getting all kinds of weird stuff, and trying to find a reasonable job that may or may not have to do with my career or desired field, and that takes a lot of energy out of me.
But I know for a fact that routine is what gets me to write. Routine is what is going to get me off the ground, not sitting around and waiting for a magical item to come out of a mythological creature that falls from the sky for no reason. So I have an idea on what to do with this blog (which is a major improvement from last year), it’s just going to take some time to get it all done and ready to go.
I know one of the most likely posts is going to be about my cat, like a Caturday where I talk about the fuzzball that is my cat. Cliched, probably, but like most cliches, I know my cat is unique and different from other cats, making it okay to use the idea and make it my own.
Besides, this is the internet. The internet loves cats and can use some more kitty cats to make it a happy place.
This is why I need to write my ideas down before actually doing any of it. Now I’m back into self-doubt mode and need to rethink things. (that line was so corny)
Anyways, plans in progress. Just need some stuff off my plate so I can focus on blogging a little more.
